Ranbir Kapoor with South Indian Ileana for his next!: The south actress Ileana, who has given hits like Pokkiri, Jalsa and Kick, and is known for her distinct style statement, has bagged a role opposite Ranbir Kapoor in none other than Anurag Basu’s film Silence.

We wonder what impressed Anurag about Ileana? The actress is unlike many other south actresses with a slender figure and suave personality. Ileana D’Cruz (that’s her full name) impressed director Anurag Basu with her acting as he is the man who seeks talent and has launched an actress like Kangana Ranaut into the film industry.

The film also has two other actresses and Ileana is the third one. But she need not worry as Anurag’s female characters are not just eye candies. Priyanka Chopra is already on board for the film, and later Asin came into the picture as Katrina Kaif refused to be part of the film.

Silence will see Ranbir once again in a comical role after Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani. He will be like the hilarious Charlie Chaplin or the weird Mr. Bean. It’s said that even though the film has humour galore, it also has elements of tragedy and drama.

Ileana the Telugu Actress in ‘3 Idiots’ remake: The stunning Telugu actress Ileana known for her charming face and slender frame has again bagged a plum project.

The actress will work in a bilingual remake of 3 Idiots to be directed by Shankar. Yes, she will do Kareena Kapoor’s role in the film to be made in Tamil and Telugu languages.

For the 3 Idiots remake, Ileana D’Cruz will again pair up with Mahesh Babu. The smashing on-screen jodi has given the hit Pokri which was later made into Wanted in Bollywood. Ileana is excited to work with Mahesh and also with director Shankar. The movie is her first Tamil film; till now she has only done Telugu films in spite of several offers from Tamil producers.

As for now, she is just going with the flow. Since 2008, her career is on an upswing with several hits to her credit like Jalsa and Kick. The actress’ remuneration is now believed to be Rs 1.2 crore which makes her one of the highest paid actresses in southern film industry.

Will she model her character on the one played by Kareena? Though Ileana has watched 3 Idiots twice, she says she will do the role her way.
