Amitabh Bachchan to save Abhishek’s career?
Shonali Bose’s small-budget film Chittagong that is based on the same subject and stars Manoj Bajpai as the revolutionary Surjya Sen, was meant to release in October, but it was delayed due to reasons unclear. But now, Anurag Kashyap, known for his brutal straightforwardness, has thrown light on the reasons.
Anurag has written on a social networking site: “See Chittagong, a far superior film made on the same subject as Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey... At 1/8 th the cost, far superior actors and immense passion... Producers decided to sit on it, because of a phone call from someone, because that someone was trying desperately to save his son’s career... welcome to Bollywood, where whose son you are outshines all the hard work and passion and potential and talent. KHJJS came and went, now what?”
There can be no doubt that the “someone” referred to in the post is Amitabh Bachchan.
When the superstar was asked to reply to Kashyap’s allegation, he said he did not want to dignify an undignified remark by commenting on it. However, Big B did say that the allegation is ‘baseless’ and ‘incorrect’.
Meanwhile, Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey is on its way to be a flop.

Amitabh Bachchan and Abhi totally bowled over after watching 'Guzaarish'
The film starring Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai in lead roles did not have any lavish premiere, but a special screening at Yash Raj Studios for friends and colleagues from the film industry.
Abhishek, who was shooting in Goa, flew to Mumbai especially for the screening. But clearly one man who was most impressed by the film was Big B.
“It’s a work of art. It’s poetry in motion. A sensitive subject handled the way only Sanjay Leela Bhansali could.
He is truly a great maker. A man with incredible visual sense and sense of cinema. Beautifully etched characters, sincerely performed and all of them executing it in the most dignified and sincere manner,” Big B wrote on his blog.
“What can one say at moments like these. One is dumbfounded and almost speechless,” the superstar added.
Even sonny Abhishek was spellbound after watching the film.
“Was completely worth it!! GUZARISH is truly magical! Sanjay is pure genius. Everything about the film, according to me, was pitch perfect. It's spellbinding,” Abhishek tweeted after watching the film.
The screening was attended by Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor, Kangana Ranaut, Ashutosh Gowarikar, Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Rajkumar Hirani, among others. Everybody was full of praises for the movie after watching it.
Amitabh Bachchan against to using word 'Bollywood'
Amitabh Bachchan against to using word 'Bollywood': Amitabh Bachchan's disdain for the word Bollywood is as well known as his prodigal talent, and his vanity, and his periodic and indefatigable pursuit of the quixotic.
"FI : Film Industry, InFI : Indian Film Industry ... a much recommended and apt name than the other plagiarized often used euphemism !" he tweeted.
We are unabashed Bachchan admirers (Yes, we do admire people other than Vidya Balan.), but we feel it is time to give Mr. Bachchan a reality check, with due apologies if it makes him squirm.
Mr Bachchan please recall all the ridiculous movies that you made us, your fans, watch, just because we admired your talent. You made bank leading us into cinema halls, like a Pied Piper, to watch your films, only to leave us orphaned of our sanity with the pathetic fare that was dished out in those halls.
If you have any difficulty recalling the names of those movies, we are there to help.
Maybe some of those despicable apologies to cinema you headlined to help your producer friends, but you did so by cheating your fans!
You prostituted your talent, more unabashedly than a sex worker, so we prefer to call the Indian Film Industry Bollywood, not the euphemism that you want us to use - InFI.
By the way don't kid yourself. Bollywood is still serving much of the mindless fare that you headlined in the 1980s and 90s. It certainly doesn't represent India so doesn't deserve to be named after the nation.
The Bachchans Family at Kaun Banega Crorepati grand finale

The finale will be aired in the last week of December and along with Abhishek Bachchan and bahu Aishwarya Rai, beti Shweta Bachchan Nanda will also be there joined by ma Jaya Bachchan. The channel officials have confirmed the news that they are indeed planning to do so, but when a tabloid asked whether it’s to beat the rival show Bigg Boss, the channel CEO said, “Yes, we are in advanced negotiations to have the entire Bachchan family on the grand finale of KBC. But our aim is not to beat the Bigg Boss…”
Till now, KBC is doing far better than the other reality shows and is facing tough competition from the Salman Khan hosted Bigg Boss.
Sony has also started talks with Big B for another season of KBC.
Amitabh Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai dance together at KBC
Known for his politeness and witty conversation that sparkles with wisdom and profund knowledge, Mr. Bachchan himself cannot be likened to anything frivolous at all especially not when he is on the sets of KBC trying to help the contestants win the booty of 1 crore with an additional option of winning five times more at a single go.
The entire country therefore stared in surprise when they saw the huge superstar of yesteryear put on his dancing cap for the ladli bahu of his family. Yes! You got it right! Amithabh Bachchan proceeded to shake a leg to the tunes of ‘Zor ka Jhatka’ a song from ‘Action Replayy’ starring Aishwarya and Akshay Kumar.
The audience seemed to be regaled at watching the Big B himself get up from his seat and proceed to jive along with his Bahu and co-star. A wonderfully entertaining moment to say the least! The festive season undoubtedly makes everyone light headed not to speak of being light on their feet.

Amitabh’s KBC 4 much better than Salman’s ‘Bigg Boss 4’
Amitabh’s KBC 4 much better than Salman’s ‘Bigg Boss 4’: In the year 2000 when Kaun Banega Crorepati started with Amitabh Bachchan as its host, it changed the way Indian audience watched television. The show was a huge hit and, now after ten years, its fourth season has proved that no other reality show is like it. The ‘KBC 4’ viewership figures are quite high than the Salman Khan-hosted ‘Bigg Boss 4’ and Akshay Kumar’s Master Chef.
There is no doubt that the audience loves every moment of KBC 4. The towering baritone of Amitabh Bachchan, his eloquence, and his unique style of presentation ensure a better quality Indian television in comparison to the otherwise low-grade reality shows which are rampant nowadays, and one such show is Rakhi Sawant’s Rakhi Ka Insaaf which was pitted against Akshay’s Master Chef.
As a tabloid reports, every third Indian likes to watch KBC during prime time, with the show carrying a 32 per cent reach in the four episodes of its first week run. The show’s first week average of 5.3 TVRs is also the highest for any non-fiction show recorded over the last year.

Shweta looked on proudly as her father cut a humongous 68 kg birthday cake, a replica of the KBC set.
The ceremony also marked the official launch of the new season of the show, the first episode of which aired later Monday night at 9 pm.
This is how Bachchan summarized the event:
"The Sony teams in place, the AV of my association in films and a bit of my life is played out, Indian Idol winner sings in a few songs, and then on stage to acknowledge the fan greetings and to cut a rather large cake reproducing the KBC set. A set off of the ongoing KBC broadcast and a set off for me to get home," he wrote on his blog.
Earlier in the day Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan flanked Birthday B for a media meet at his office Janak in Juhu.
Through the day, Amitabh also met a lot of the fans who thronged the gates of Jalsa, his Mumbai residence, from early morning.
He wrapped an eventful day with dinner at home with family and close friends, including Akshay Kumar, who later received a special mention in Big B's tweets:
"thank you Akshay .. was wonderful spending time with you today at home ... love"
