Vivek Oberoi ready for honeymoon with his wife
It’s been more than a month since Vivek married Bangalore’s Priyanka Alva. However, unlike other newly-weds, the duo did not vamoose off for a honeymoon. Rather, Vivek kept being busy with professional commitments and the promotion of Rakht Charitra - 2.
Now that the film has released Vivek is finally set to spend days and weeks with his wife alone. But work still doesn’t seem to leave him.
The actor is set to perform on Dec 31 for the Country Club New Year bash in Dubai. And accompanying him would be his wife Priyanka.
After the New Year eve the couple would then head for their honeymoon. We hear their destination would be Red Sea in the Arabian peninsula right between Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
‘Rakta Charitra 2’ releases today
Rakta Charitra starring Vivek Oberoi had performed well in Andhra Pradesh but could only manage a below average response in other parts of the country. The movie is inspired by the story of the slain political leader Paritala Ravi of Andhra Pradesh.
The music of Rakta Charitra 2 is average and the film is less violent that the first part. However, Tamil hero Suriya is believed to have performed exceptionally well in the movie.
Overall the film is expected to outperform Rakta Charitra.

Vivek Oberoi's Honeymoone: The marriage couple enjoying Aamby Valley!
Vivek Oberoi's Honeymoone: The marriage couple enjoying Aamby Valley: New Dhamaka Film Rakta Charitra's Leading Actor Vivek Oberoi and his wife Priyanka Alva seem to be enjoying a brief prelude to their honeymoon in Aamby valley nowadays.
Even before his wedding, Vivek had announced that he would have a delayed honeymoon because he will be tied up promoting the second instalment of Rakta Charitra which is slated to release soon.
Talking about his possible honeymoon destination, Vivek had said that since he likes flying planes (no kidding!) and his wife Priyanka loves deep sea diving, they would opt for a place where they can enjoy both during their honeymoon.
While that may still have to happen, the buzz is that the two have slipped off to Aambey Valley in northern Maharashtra to enjoy a brief honeymoon.
We hope that paparazzi don’t disturb them.

Poetry from Vivek Oberoi for Priyanka Alva
See, what love does to a person. Vivek Oberoi, who’s seen playing the angry young man more often than not on the silver screen, has been penning poetry for Priyanka, whom he will marry on October 29.
Vivek has written a poem for Priyanka which goes: “In a world of only two people who are each other's world...”
In fact, when Vivek talks about Priyanka, the words that come from his mouth are poetic, to say the least.
Sample this.
“Every day with her (Priyanka) is a blessing. In a world full of storms, she's my anchor. I live in a world of masks. I needed someone as real as she is. She is my home. She's the one I can come home to. She has changed my life,” Vivek says.
Great! Vivek.
Vivek Oberoi’s wedding: Will Aishwarya Rai to attend?
Vivek’s vibes with the Bachchans have never been good, thanks to his past with Aishwarya Rai, who is now a Bachchan bahu. Vivek has tried to extend olive branches to the Bachchans more than once (his unannounced visit to the Bachchan residence when Big B’s mom passed away) but nothing of substance came from those overtures. Now, all set to marry, Vivek is making a fresh attempt to let bygones be bygones and make a brand new start.
Last week he took the trouble of personally visiting Mehboob Studios in Bandra just to invite Abhishek Bachchan to his wedding reception on October 31. Vivek will wed in a very private ceremony on October 29 in Bangalore but has invited his friends from the industry for a lavish reception in Mumbai on Oct 31.
Abhishek, being the gentleman that he is, cordially accepted Vivek’s invitation. But now the question is: will wifey Aishwarya Rai accompany him to the wedding? After all, she’s by his side at all important functions, and Vivek’s wedding reception is by no standard insignificant.
Vivek Oberoi's 'Rakta Charitra' 5 Reasons of Success?
Vivek Oberoi's 'Rakta Charitra' 5 Reasons of Success?: Vivek Oberoi has scored over Mallika Sherawat and John Abraham this week at the Bolly box office as Vivek’s ‘Rakta Charitra’ has smelt blood at the cash windows. On one hand, where Rakta Charitra is selling at hot rates, ‘Hisss’ has fizzed and ‘Jhootha Hi Sahi’ has not done any remarkable business.
1. Firstly, positive word of mouth publicity has done a lot of good to the film which began sluggishly but later gathered momentum.
2. Secondly, the critics gave the film mixed reactions while some recommended it whole heartedly.
3. Thirdly, the political controversy surrounding the film has, indeed, added fuel to public’s interest.
4. Fourthly, this film has been tagged ‘the most violent film ever made in India’. Who wouldn’t want to witness this bloody gore?
5. And fifthly, the fact that its competitors ‘Hisss’ and ‘Jhootha Hi Sahi’ have fallen flat, has surely made its way easier.

Vivek Oberoi's wedding will be grand!
“The wedding will be grand but a very private affair followed by a reception in Mumbai with family and friends attending,” Vivek told a news agency.
However, the groom-to-be has not even started doing shopping for his wedding.
“I am so preoccupied with Rakta Charitra that I did not do any shopping for my marriage. Now my family is taking care of that. I will soon be a married man but the feeling is yet to sink in,” Vivek added.
Incidentally, Vivek is so tied up with the promotion of the film, that he’ll also postpone his honeymoon. And when he explained his reasons for doing so to Priyanka, she did not complain.
“Priyanka has been very understanding and supportive. It is very unusual for a bride to be this practical and understanding about my career. She is really a lovely girl and means a lot to me. I thank Karnataka for giving me their most beautiful daughter,” Vivek said.
Incidentally, when Vivek visited Bangalore to promote the film, he was referred to as Karnataka ka damaad.
Vivek Oberoi's most powerful film 'Rakta Charitra'
The movie, directed by Ram Gopal Varma, has Vivek playing a character based on the slain Andhra politician Paritala Ravi. It’s an intense role with a lot of emotional turmoil for the character.
“It is the most powerful film I have ever done. It is a very relevant story and something that is happening in Indian heartland. For me it was a challenge to understand Ravi's degree of pain, which forced him to turn into a rebel,” Vivek is quoted as saying by a news agency.
The 34-year-old star added that the nuances of his character in Rakta Charitra made it an acting challenge for him.
“With my performance in this film, I hope to take my acting career a few notches higher from my Company days. After all it is the toughest role of my life and also marks my debut in Tamil and Telugu,” Vivek added.
Rakta Charitra faces tough competition from other releases this Friday - Hisss and Jhootha Hi Sahi - but Vivek is hopeful that the film will find its takers at the box office.

He’s got a lot coming up in the days ahead - a movie release and a wedding.Vivek is busy with the promotion of his upcoming film Rakta Charita. The movie will release on October 22, just a week ahead of his wedding to Bangalore’s Priyanka Alva.
“I am excited about my marriage and nervous about my film,” said Vivek who was in Bangalore to participate in an awards press meet and promote the film.
Upon his arrival in the city, Vivek was referred to as the son-in-law of Karnataka.
“Today I was referred to as Karnatak-ka-damad, instead of the usual terms like actor or hero when I arrived,” said Vivek who is set to marry on October 29.
However, after the wedding, Vivek and Priyanka won’t head to honeymoon straightaway. Vivek will be busy with the promotions of Rakta Charitra and honeymoon will have to wait till November.
Rakta Charitra not like a Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham
As all know, Ramu loves to take potshots at Karan Johar and the kind of films he makes and his Twitter account clearly bears the proof, but talking like this about someone’s film in public is a new for Ramu. Talking about Rakta Charitra at the event, he said, “In terms of the pitch of the film, I just want to quote an incident that happened with Hollywood filmmaker Quentin Tarantino.”
“When he showed his first film ‘Pulp Fiction’ to people, he apparently went on stage and asked the people that did any one of them like the ‘Rain Man’. About 30-40 people raised their hands. He told those people to leave because he said that this film was not for them.”
Extrapolating from this, Ramu added that Rakta Charitra, which is about a slain factionist and political leader from Andhra Pradesh, Paritala Ravi, is not for the people who like ‘Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Gham’.
The movie is full of gory scenes and will release on October 22.
Vivek Oberoi to start preparations of his honeymoon!
“We can be hosting a grand reception in Mumbai where culinary artists from onto every part of the nation can be dishing up a lavish spread of their mark plates. The wedding will be in Bangalore, on this huge property owned by Priyanka's family,” Vivek expressed.
Priyanka Alva is a 28 year old Business Management graduate from London. She is girl of Karnataka Minister Jeevaraj Alva and his social specialist wife Nandini Alva.
Comparing notes regarding his honeymoon, Vivek declared he won’t head for honeymoon right following marriage as he could be hectic advocating his picture Rakta Charitra.
“No honeymoon for us almost immediately as I am hectic with the elevations of Rakta Charitra. Yet we're planning something somet
